Electric Vehicle Fleets as Balancing Instrument in Micro-Grids

Micro-grids have become the building block of modern energy systems, where distributed resources are characterizing feature. The charging operation electric vehicles can be exploited as a flexible load to achieve operational goals micro-grid. In particular case car-sharing fleets, degrees freedom in procedures reduced when compared private users. this work, we illustrate how car sharing fleet incorporated micro-grid management system. A linear optimization problem is formulated, cost function makes trade-off between gain flexibility and loss incurred by service for delaying recharging procedure EV. proposed approach evaluated on data set events generated real showing that EMS allows reducing daily peak demand requested public grid diminishes costs.
